The problem with legal drafting in India
Time lost to mechanics
Indian advocates spend a disproportionate amount of time on the mechanics of drafting — formatting cause titles, structuring running indexes, writing boilerplate jurisdictional paragraphs. This is time taken away from the work that actually requires legal judgment.
Generic AI doesn't work
ChatGPT and similar tools cannot solve this. They do not know the difference between a Telangana HC format and an AP HC format. They hallucinate case citations, invent provisions, and produce drafts that need to be restructured from scratch before filing.
Fragmented workflows
